James "Jim" Hindelang

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at his home, age 83      years. James was born on April 16, 1942 to the late Edwin and Clare Hindelang.  He was married to Joan Szymanski on November 18, 1967; she predeceased him on February 13, 2021. Jim was employed at Bay Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist for the majority of his career. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, a member of the Gemütlichkeit Club, as well as a member of CEC and past chair of the Bavarian Fest.

Surviving are two sons David (Chieko) Hindelang and Matthew Hindelang OFM Cap.; three grandchildren Sabrina, Veronica, and Zachary; brothers and sisters Fred (Patty) Hindelang, Bill Hindelang, Paul Hindelang, and Jane (Jim) Becks.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. The service will be livestreamed at www.btmuth.org/current-livestreams.html. Cremation to follow. James' family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
