Obituary

James Dennis Liddell – Born January 15, 1936, went to be with his Savior on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Jim was born to Tessie (Brown) and James Alex Liddell in Flint, Michigan. Jim graduated from Grand Blanc High School. Jim married the love of his life, Fran Liddell on September 1, 1956.

Jim spent his career as an automotive parts salesman. Jim was an avid hunter and snowmobiler with much family time spent with his son, brothers, nephews, grandchildren and friends. Jim enjoyed many years in retirement with family and friends in the upper peninsula. He taught his grandchildren well about hunting, snowmobiling and tractors. Jim restored his John Deere 50 with his granddaughter and loved attending tractor shows. He was an avid member of the Eastern UP Antique Equipment Association, crossed the Mackinac Bridge multiple times on his tractor and regularly attended events at Pioneer Power Tractor show in West Branch and the Walloon Lake Flywheelers Tractor Show.

Left to cherish his memory are, son Darrell (Shannon) Liddell, grandchildren Robert (Catherine Trudeau) Liddell, Angela (Jeff) Dietrich, great-granddaughter Brooke Dietrich, brother Dan Liddell (Arliss), brother E Stanley Liddell, sister Leah Koon, many nieces and nephews and special friends Al and Kathy English, Ellen and Mitch Perry, Bob and Janis Hansen.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, wonderful wife, Fran, and precious daughter Cheryl Ann Liddell, brothers Clifford Liddell, Albert Liddell, sister Dorothy Revoldt, dear friends Rich and Romona Wilcox and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

According to Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. A life celebration will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The Michigan Auto Parts Association P.O.
