James R. Ziegler

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025 after a short battle with cancer at Maplewood Manor in Clio; age 84 years. Jim was born on August 23, 1940 in Saginaw, MI to the late John and Clara Ziegler. He was married to Judy LaBeau on November 10, 1962 at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church; she survives him. He honorably served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jim was a lifelong farmer at his family farm, until he wasn't able at the end of last season. He also drove for Star of the West and Penske Trucking. Jim was a lifelong member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his wife Judy are two sons Thomas (Leigh) Ziegler of Vassar, MI, John (Dionne) Ziegler of Vassar, MI; daughter Amy Saha of Frankenmuth; two grandchildren Marianne (Terry) Gilbert and Brandon Ziegler; great-grandson Dylan, and brother Eugene (Eileen) Ziegler.

Jim was preceded in death by his son-in-law Chad Saha.

Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 25, day, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Jim's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
