Jan Danks

Bridgeport, MI

Loving mother and grandmother passed away Monday February 28, 2022, at her home; age 75 years. Janice Edmonds was born on May 14, 1946, in Saginaw, MI to the late Robert and Dorothy Edmonds. She was married to Jack Danks on June 11, 1966, he proceeded her in death on January 6, 2019. Janice was a lifetime member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church where she volunteered her time to the Altar Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, embroidering, crafting, gardening, and doing for others.

Surviving are children John (Michelle) Danks of Davison, MI, Jennifer (Matt) McDonald of Frankenmuth, MI, Janelle Wilhelm of North Pole, AK, Jackie Danks of Bridgeport, MI; grandchildren Megan, Michael, and Jacob Danks, Brendan and Tyler McDonald, Corbin Wilhelm, Izaiah Danks, Eriyon and Elijah Burrell; sisters Cheri Hugo and Sandy (Tim) Brown; special friends, great neighbors and cabin crew.

Along with her parents and husband, Janice was proceeded in death by her grandson Conner Danks in 2016.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Pastor Joel Kaiser will officiate, with burial to follow in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Jan's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
