Jane E. Kamrad

Birch Run, MI; formerly of Hope, MI

Passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Maple Woods Manor after a year and a half long illness; age 91 years. Jane Dillon was born on January 10, 1934 in Unionville, MI to the late Leslie and Elva (Roberts) Dillon. She was married to James W. Kamrad on February 14, 1953 at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Gagetown, MI; he predeceased her on July 24, 2011.

Jane enjoyed spending winters in Davenport, Florida. She was employed by AC Spark Plug for 24 years. Jane was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge, and was a former Eagle's Club Member. She was an avid cook and wouldn't let anyone leave her house hungry. She rode motorcycles and snowmobiles and enjoyed boating, spending time on the lake, golf, traveling, but most of all she loved her family.

Surviving are: two daughters and one son, Diane (Rex) Shepard, Debra (Gregg Shirey) Kamrad, and Joseph (Lee) Kamrad; grandchildren, Shane Shepard, Eric (Nicole Swager) Shepard, Jeremiah (Susan Kocevar) Shepard, Justin (Chanda) Shepard, Shannon (Rene Sherwood) Yaklin, Tom (Karissa) Simons, Ryan Gibson, Russell (Brittany) Gibson, Denae Reed, Cory Shaw, Jessica (Tim) Dawson, Tanya (Jason) Lindenmuth, and Robert (Kristin) Kamrad; 23 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Kay Dillon, John (Marie) Kamrad, and Elna Kamrad; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband James, Jane was preceded in death by daughter Darlene Kamrad, son James (Rhonda Shaw) Kamrad, great-grandson Austin Yaklin, one sister and four brothers.

Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 958 E. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Cremation has taken place. Jane's family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
