Jean M. Otto

Frankenmuth, MI

Went to be with her Lord Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Covenant Harrison after a brief illness; age 85 years. Jean was born on July 10, 1936, in California to the late William and Elva Forster. She was married to Milton Otto on February 1, 1964; he predeceased her in 1994.

Together Jean and Milton owned and operated Otto's Hardware in Vassar. Jean helped with bookkeeping for several businesses in the area. She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville, MI where she played the organ, was a member of the handbell choir, and was involved with the Mary Martha organization. Jean enjoyed bowling, knitting, and reading, but she especially loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are: two daughters Janice (Jeff) Morrison of Birch Run, MI and Brenda (Shawn) Hoskey of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren Collin, Kilee, Megan, and Laney DeBrabander, Parker and Aiden Morrison, and Anthony, Abigail, and Owen Hoskey; two sisters Carole Swanson and Kathie (Neil) Andre; and many nieces and nephews.

Private Committal Service will take place at St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Michael's Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
