Went home to be with his Lord, after a battle with Parkinson's Disease, on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Birch Run Fields; age 81 years. Jerome "Heidi" was born on February 9, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Richard and Martha (Abraham) Korf . He was married to Janet Loesel on February 11, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church; she survives him. Jerome worked with several different contractors until 1989 when he started Korf Construction, which he retired from in 2013. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he served on various boards. Jerome was also a member of the Saginaw Home Builders Association. He was known for his integrity and quality work. He loved spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife Janet are daughter, Sandra (Duane) Weber of Vassar, MI; son, Randy (Christie) Korf of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Simcox, James Weber (friend Danielle Thomson), Katherine Weber, David Weber; brother, Richard (Patti) Korf of Fort Myers, Florida; sister, Gloria (Patrick) O'Connor of Saginaw, Michigan; brother-in-law, Robert Loesel of Frankenmuth, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.
Jerome was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Connie Sue Korf; Father Richard and Mother Martha Korf; Father-in-law Arno and Mother-in-law Selma Loesel; sister, Diana Kennard; brother-in-law, Lawrence Kennard; sister-in-law, Arlene Clouse; brother-in-law, Henry Clouse; sister-in-law, Sally Loesel.
Memorial service will take place Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Frankentrost, 8220 Holland Road, Saginaw, MI. Rev. Mark Loest will officiate. According to Heidi's wishes cremation has taken place. Heidi's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth at 590 N. Franklin Street on Thursday, April 27th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Frankentrost, Valley Lutheran High School or the Lutheran Hour.
