Jim Barger

Frankenmuth, MI

Went to be with our Lord on Monday, June 8, 2020; age 83 years. Jim was born on September 1, 1936 in Flint, MI to the late William and Eula Barger. He was previously married to Marie for 37 years. Jim was a financial consultant for Northwestern Mutual Life until his retirement. He was a member of Frankenmuth United Methodist Church, member of Rotary and was infamous for his jokes. He loved to ballroom dance, loved to sing, loved people and playing games. He worked hard and played hard; Jim was always positive.

Surviving are 2 sons and 2 daughters Jim (Debbie) Barger, Cyndi (Gary) Piesko, Sherry (Brian) Showerman and Andy (Barb) Barger; 11 grandchildren Kaitlyn and Bailey Barger, Adam (Karla) Piesko, Caleb, Ashley and Sierra Showerman, Alison (Zach) Kaiser, Rebekah, Anna, Daniel and Samuel Barger; brother Louie (Carol) Barger; sister-in-law Elaine Barger.

Jim was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter Lyndsey Piesko; 2 sisters and 1 brother Margaret Roberts, Genelle Jensen, and Bill Barger.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions a private family service will take place. The service will be broadcast live on the Cederberg Funeral Home Facebook page on Friday June 12 ^th at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Frankenmuth United Methodist Church or a charity of donor's choice.
