Joanne Stroope

Millington, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by her side Friday, September 18, 2026 at LaVigne House after a brief illness; age 91 years. Joanne was born on May 6, 1935 in Flint, MI to the late Ike and Golda Lowell. She was married to William Stroope Jr. on June 4, 1955 at Oak Park Church; he survives her.

Joanne was employed by AC Spark Plug for 37 years. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her family with cookouts and pool time.

Surviving besides her husband William are: two children Linda (Lawrence) Giffels of Clio, MI, and William Brandt (Trina) Stroope of Florida; grandchildren Jennifer (David) Clark and Sarah (Hayden) Block; three great-grandchildren Jacob, Sarah, and Sutton; and two sisters Charlene Zeiter and Sue (James) Kettler.

Joanne was preceded in death by her brother Roy Lowell.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Joanne’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
