Jodi L. Maurer

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by her side Friday, July 18, 2025, at University of Michigan Health-West after a 3 year battle with ovarian cancer; age 56 years. Jodi was born on September 23, 1968 in Saginaw, MI to Jerry and the late Barbara (Elbers) Solgat. She was married to Myron Maurer on July 23, 1994 in Reese, MI; he survives her.

Jodi was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Prudenville and Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth. She enjoyed Michigan State football games, gardening, doing projects including home building, carpentry, crafting, stained glass, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, friends and her father Jerry.

Surviving besides her husband Myron are three daughters, Taryn (Melvin III) Sylvester of Byron Center, MI, Lyssa (Parker) Jamieson of God-only-knows, and Courtney Maurer of Buffalo, NY; sister Kimberly (Matthew) Nelson of Roscommon, MI; step-mother Janice Solgat; step-mother-in-law Marie Maurer; and nephew and niece Bryce and Remi O'Neill.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. The mass will be live streamed at https://www.btmuth.org/. Jodi's family will receive visitors at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
