John W. Krumnauer

Vassar, MI

Went to be with the Lord Monday, March 28, 2022, at his home; age 77 years.  John was born on November 15, 1944, to the late John and Marguerite (Stroebel) Krumnauer. He honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. John married Jan Trinklein on May 27, 1972; she survives him. John retired from Williams Detroit Diesel in Saginaw, MI. He was employed there over 35 years. He was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, served on the board of directors for the Frankenmuth Conservation Club, was a member of VFW Post 2725 Frankenmuth, American Legion Post 229 Blumfield, a board member of Tuscola Youth Softball Association, a member of Shifters Auto Club Vassar, and Eliminators Auto Club. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and his Gladwin hunting group.

Surviving besides his wife Jan are sons Michael (Tillie) Krumnauer of Vassar, MI, Jason (Erica Hall) Krumnauer of Vassar; daughter-in-law Patricia Krumnauer; grandchildren Kyle, Kayleigh, Kadyn, Jayme, Kase, and Hadley Krumnauer; sister Kathy Enser; sisters-in-law Pauline (Dennis) Reinert, Karen (Rick) Palomares; brother-in-law Larry (Donna Tedford) Trinklein and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by one son Scott Krumnauer.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. John's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at St. Lorenz from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Church Beautification Committee or the Frankenmuth Conservation Club.
