John Kueffner

Frankentrost, MI

Celebrated Easter with his Lord on Sunday, March 31, 2024; age 89 years. John was born on February 1, 1935 in Saginaw, MI to the late Adolph and Louise Kueffner. He was married to the former Elizabeth "Betty" Daenzer on April 12, 1958 at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

John was self-employed doing home milk delivery with Sealtest and later moved on to wholesale delivery with McDonalds. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School. John was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Frankentrost, serving as an elder, the finance committee and the Living Nativity. He enjoyed card playing and traveling the U.S as well as Germany and Switzerland. He enjoyed carpentry and built his own house as well as the stable for Living Nativity.

Surviving besides his wife Betty are: Kim (Jill) Kueffner; Luanne (Philip) Haubenstricker; and Keith (Diane) Kueffner all of Frankenmuth; grandchildren Justin (Jessica) Kueffner, Chelsea (fiancé Joe Duso) Kueffner, Aaron and Beth Haubenstricker, and Kayla and Cody Kueffner; great-grandchildren Carter and Nora Kueffner; brother Fred (Loraine) Kueffner; brothers-in-law Jacob Daenzer and Leo (Gerry) Daenzer; sister-in-law Ann Frank; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by sister-in-law Jane Daenzer and brother-in-law Jerry Frank.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Frankentrost, MI.  Rev. Dan Wojtowicz will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. John's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
