John V. Lewis Jr.

Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend went home with his Lord Friday December 27, 2019 at Covenant Harrison Medical Center; age 83 years. John was born on May 13, 1936 in Flint, MI to the late John V, Sr. and Wilma Lewis. He was married to Doloris Eisinger on June 18, 1955, she predeceased him on March 25, 2016. John worked for GM for over 37 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Bridgeport Community Church, Bridgeport Country Club, and Free & Accepted Masons of Michigan.

Surviving are his children Debbie (Rick) Savage of Saginaw Twp., and John III (Kris) Lewis of Frankenmuth; 3 granddaughters Melissa (David) McGovern, Kristi (Chad) Suppes and Kimberly (Graham) Mertz; 4 great-grandchildren Sean, Drew, Avery and Harper.

Funeral services will take place on Monday December 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Rev. Ron Sinclair will officiate. John's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris, MI. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Bridgeport Community Church.
