Jonathan David Nicol, 69, of Birch Run, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2026.

Jon was born on August 26, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan to David and Priscilla Nicol. With a love for the outdoors, Jon spent much of his time hiking and camping. In later years, he became an educator in residential construction. He will be most remembered for his devotion to his family and to the Lord, whom he served faithfully for many years as part of the Bridgeport (formerly Saginaw) Gospel Hall.

Jon is survived by his wife, Lois; his children, Sarah (Christopher) Brescia, Ashley (Kevin) Smart, and Allison Nicol; his dearly loved grandchildren, Caleb and Seth; his siblings, Stephen Nicol, Timothy Nicol, Rebecca (Thomas) Wright, and Elizabeth Nicol; and his mother, Priscilla Nicol. He was preceded in death by his father, David Nicol.

Funeral Service will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport. Jon’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
