Jordan J. DeSander

Bridgeport, MI

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at his home; age 34 years. Jordan was born on September 17, 1991 in Saginaw, Michigan to his mother Kristine Thornton and father Jeff DeSander; they survive him. He was married to Heidi DeSander on July 31, 2021 in Auburn, MI, she survives him. Jordan was employed by Spirro Industries in Howell. He was a member of Frankenmuth Bible Church and former member of Bridgeport Community Church. Jordan had a passion for fishing, knitting, and working in his yard and had a green thumb.

Surviving besides his wife and parents are 2 half brothers Tyler (Kylie) DeSander and Caleb (Gianna) Brethauer; stepsister Rebecca Thornton; grandparents Paul (Carolyn) DeSander, Richard Helpap; nephews Mason Tevis, Elijah DeSander, Josiah DeSander, Brandan Locke, Evan Locke, and another nephew on the way; nieces Masie Brethauer, Cleo Locke, Kaitlyn Locke; mother and father-in-law Julene (Roger) Locke; brothers-in-law Steve (Tony) Locke, Fred (Amy) Locke, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jordan was preceded in death by his grandmother Joann Helpap.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State Street in Bridgeport. Jordan’s family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to his wife Heidi c/o Julene Locke.

The family wishes to thank Covenant Hospice especially Lisa, Amanda, Chaplin Kathy, and Michael for their compassionate care.
