Joyce Staple

Passed away peacefully with family by her side Saturday April 30, 2022 at her home; age 90 years.  Joyce Acheson was born on February 29, 1932 in Flint, MI to the late Carl and Effie Acheson. Joyce graduated from Flint Tech High School in 1950 and later received her dental assistant degree from Mott Community College. Joyce then worked as a dental assistant for many years. She was a member of Frankenmuth United Methodist Church, loved working outside in the yard, gardening, reading, and going for walks.

Surviving are two sons: William Staple of Caro, MI and Jeff (Julie) Staple of Shelbyville, MI; six grandchildren Keith Staple, Rachelle (Adam) Worth, Steve (Emily) Staple, Megan Staple, Sarah (Matt) Flynn, and Emily Staple (fiancé Jake Marcus); and five great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by one brother Richard Acheson and one sister Isabelle Andrews.

Memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Rev. Bruce Malicoat will officiate. Joyce's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
