June Bush

Caseville, MI

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of June R. Bush, 90, of Caseville, on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

June graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1953. She immediately went to Detroit Harper Nursing School. She married Paul Bush, from Flint, in November 1955. While working as a registered nurse she went to school to become a teacher. After she received her Master's Degree from the University of Michigan, she taught elementary students in the Imlay City school district for 20 years. Post retirement she shared residencies in Caseville, MI and Nokomis, FL.

June had a great appreciation for nature. She was a vigorous gardener. She loved – growth, renewal and the ever changing of seasons and always had a variety of landscaping projects at her residence.

She also was a bird enthusiast. She could identify birds by song and sight. She always kept many bird feeders stocked and enticed her grandchildren to help her place new feeders.

She was a friend to many in both states, who would take freshly baked treats or food dishes to show her appreciation and friendship.

June is survived by her; children: Erika (Mike) Delaney of Caledonia, MI and Bennett (Nancy) Bush of Waterford, MI and grandchildren: Matthew, Callie and Christopher Delaney and Britton, Rachel and Kyler Bush. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Bush, brothers Sandy and Willard Hornbacher.
