Went home with her Lord after a brief illness, on Friday May 17, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital, Covenant Medical Center Harrison in Saginaw; age 74 years. Kay Green was born on March 23, 1950 to the late Kenneth and Eva Green. Kay graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw in 1968. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS Degree in Education in 1972. She was married to James Frahm on May 25, 1974; he survives her. Kay worked as an elementary school teacher for 32 years, she taught in the Saginaw Public Schools and the Birch Run area Schools; she retired in 2007. Kay was a member of the Saginaw County Association of Retired School Personnel, was in the Alpha Delta Kappa Teacher Sorority, and was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Kay loved working with children and spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were a special joy in her life.
Surviving are Children Melinda (Matthew) Bierlein and Benjamin Frahm; grandchildren Matthew James, Madison Eve, and Maddox Charles Bierlein; brother James (Mary) Green; sisters-in-law Sharon Green, JoAnn Green and Sharolyn Frahm; two special friends Maureen Kotenko and Robin Darrow, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents Kenneth and Eva, Kay was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth and Frank Green, and brother-in-law George Frahm.
Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed at https://www.stlorenz.org/stream/. Kay's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority Scholarship Program, St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Stephen Ministry or the Girls of Grace Program.
