Obituary

Kimberly S. Light

Bridgeport, MI

Kimberly Sue Light (nee Simon) went to her eternal home on December 6, 2024 while at home surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Greg Light; sisters Shelley Donnelly (Bob) of Newburgh, IN; Vickie Eddy and Patti Ostler (David), both of Saginaw, MI; Mary Beth Orange (Tony) of Midland, MI; brother A.J. Simon of Bay City, MI; brother-in-law Gerry Light (Ana) of Marshall, MI; sisters-in-law Nancy Baird (Steve) of Frankenmuth, MI, Susan Light of Bridgeport, MI, and Carolyn Delpha (Mike) of Hull, GA.

She also leaves behind and will be missed by 25 nieces and nephews, 24 great nieces and nephews, and three special angels who adopted her as their own "Aunt Kimmy", Charlotte, Claire, and Cassidy Gobeyn.

Kim was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Elizabeth (Betty) Simon, sister Julie Simon, brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Eddy, in-laws Norman and Mary Light, and special young friend Myah Mulrath.

Kim was employed at AT&T for 30 years. She retired in 2012. She loved spending time with her family and adored her many fur babies. Kim enjoyed playing golf, snowmobiling, and spending time with Greg and friends at their cabin. She loved baking homemade pumpkin and apple pies for friends and family and enjoyed her post retirement serving the young children as "lunch lady" at St. Lorenz Lutheran School in Frankenmuth.

Kim loved her family and many close and dear friends. She will be missed. She had a laugh that would fill the room, and a whistle that could fill the arena… and now the Heavens.
