Larry E. Maxwell

Waterford, MI

Went home to his Lord Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family; age 73 years. Larry was born on April 20, 1947 in Port Huron, MI to the late Elgin and Zelma Maxwell. He was married to Janet on January 27, 1968, she survives him.

He was employed at Detroit Edison from June of 1967 until August of 2003 when he retired. He was then influential in the startup of the International Transmission Company until 2010. Larry was a member of First Missionary Church of Clarkston; he was an amazing man of faith and was a wonderful witness for his Lord Jesus Christ. Larry was also an avid model railroad collector and was addicted to antiquing.

Surviving besides his wife Janet, are his children L. Alan (Elizabeth) Maxwell, Laura (Dale) Gilbert, and Jason (Shelly) Maxwell; grandchildren Lorraine (Tyeler) Stidham, Curtis O'Dell, Leah (Caleb) Doehrman, Lydia and Travis Maxwell, Austin, Allie, and Andrew Gilbert, Morgan and Mackinsey Maxwell, Connor Cabello, and Liam and Emmie Cederberg; great granddaughter Madilyn Doehrman; and sisters Bonnie Dunstan and Carol Keys.

Larry was preceded in death by infant daughter Gail Lynn Maxwell.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at First Missionary Church, 4832 Clintonville Rd, Clarkston MI 48346.  Reverend Matthew Mendenhall will officiate.  Larry's family will receive visitors at First Missionary Church, on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
