Lehman "Jack" Connell

Frankenmuth, MI

Jack was reunited with his wife Carol of 69 years on Thursday March 16, 2023. He passed at Bavarian Comfort Care with family by his side; age 87 years. Jack was born on November 25, 1935 in Grant Twp, MI to the late Cam and Marge Connell. He was married to Carol Hulien on August 28, 1954, together they enjoyed 66 years of marriage; she proceeded him in death on March 9, 2020. Jack graduated from GMI with a masters degree in 1958, he worked at Saginaw Steering Gear until his retirement. He was a member of Frankenmuth United Methodist Church. Jack was an avid fly fisherman in both fresh and saltwater. He enjoyed hunting, and sailing with his family. He had a passion for baking and gardening.

Surviving are children, Jeffery (Beverly) Connell of Shelby Township, MI, Gail Connell – Wernette of Frankenmuth, MI; grandchildren, Melissa (Brennen) Kerr of Frankenmuth, Abigail Wernette of Saginaw, MI, Adam (Rachael) Wernette of Madison Heights, MI; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Nilah Kerr, and Iris Wernette; sisters, Mary Kay Adams and Lynne Smith; brother-in-law, Tom (Debi) Hulien; sister-in-law, Louise Brown.

Jack was preceded in death by brother, Dennis Connell.

Committal Service will take place at a later date in Elkland Township Cemetery in Cass City, MI.
