Lenore Poellet

Lenore Alma Poellet went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 3, 2020; age 86 years. Lenore was born to Michael and Florence (Schiefer) Maurer- Bergdolt on December 16, 1933 in Vassar, MI. She was baptized and confirmed the vows of her baptism at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth, MI. She was also married there to Clint Poellet on July 6, 1958.

She is survived by her 3 children Rev. Dean and Jan Poellet of Williamston, MI, Judith Poellet of Palatine, IL and Diane and Chris Scherpereel of Flagstaff, Arizona. She has two grandchildren who survive her, Melanie Scherpereel of Phoenix, AZ and Keaton Scherpereel of Atlanta, GA. She is survived by one brother and sister Wilmar (Joan) Bergdolt and Ruth Bergdolt; 3 sisters-in-law Lois Bergdolt, Bonnie Bergdolt and Carol Bergdolt. She leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lenore was preceded in death by 3 sisters Erna Hutchinson, Dorothy Weber, and Lorna Weiss; 4 brothers Arnold Maurer, Raymond Bergdolt, Norman Bergdolt and Paul Bergdolt; sisters-in-law Vita and Wilma Reinbold and Elaine Maurer; brothers-in law William Hutchinson, Albert Weber, Elmer Weiss, Arnold and Rudolph Reinbold.

Lenore was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Frankentrost, MI, its choir, Living Nativity pageant, Ladies Aid and Women's Missionary League. She also volunteered for years with Bethesda. Lenore worked at Frankenmuth Mutual and retired there after many years

Due to COVID- 19 restrictions private family services will take place Monday, April 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live on Facebook on our page Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth and on our website once the service completes. Rev. Mark Loest will officiate. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wellspring Lutheran Services, Bethesda Lutheran Communities or a favorite charity of donor's choice.
