Leonard K. Ross

Vassar, MI

Passed away peacefully Saturday October 15, 2022 at Fisher's Senior Care after a lengthy illness; age 70 years.  Leonard was born on April 20, 1952 in Flint, MI to the late Kent and Orpha Ross. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Leonard was married to Marie Schiefer on October 21, 1995. He was employed by AC Delco until his retirement.  Leonard was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed wood carving and was a member of Frankenmuth Wood Carvers

Surviving besides his wife Marie are: step-son Donald (Julie) Duvernois of Frankenmuth; grandchildren DJ (Megan) Duvernois, Desirae (Brad) Allen, and Nicholas Duvernois; great grandchildren Anna Hill and Adley Allen; sisters Sharon (Joe) Lenoard and Dorothy (Greg) Severn; brother Don (Patty) Ross; and many nieces and nephews.

Leonard was preceded in death by his great granddaughter Meara Duvernois and sister Jean Neumann.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Rev. Jim Bruner will officiate with burial to follow at Newton-Compau Cemetery. Leonard's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
