Lewis G. Abraham

Birch Run, MI formerly of Port Charlotte, FL

Passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, after a brief illness, at Covenant Medical Center Cooper; age 80 years. Lewis was born on January 18, 1946 in Saginaw, MI to the late Ernst and Adeline (Reinbold) Abraham. Lewis was a graduate from Michigan State University. He began his career in secondary education, worked as a US Park Ranger in the Shenandoah Valley, and worked for FEMA. He belonged to St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Lewis enjoyed hiking, golfing, playing chess, umpiring fast pitch softball, and ice skating at Hoyt Park.

Surviving are his sister Nancy (Rollie) Wenzel of Richville, MI; two nephews Scott (Shellie) Wenzel of Frankentrost, MI and Marty (Sharon) Wenzel of Vassar, MI; great nephew and nieces Brandon Wenzel, Hannah (fiancé Parker) Wenzel, and Rachel Wenzel; step nieces and nephew Danielle Sigourney, Nicholas Ledger and Layton Sigourney; special friend Michelle; stepchildren Matt and Mike; special cousins Larry Abraham and Ruth Wallace, and fur friend Trixie.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S. Van Buren Road, Richville, Michigan. Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with cremation to follow. Lewis' family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
