"Chet",  Lewis Duranso Jr.

Saginaw, MI

Passed away peacefully July 2, 2018 at Covenant Select Specialty; age 81years.  Chet was born April 30, 1937 in Bridgeport Twp, MI to the late Lewis Sr. and Anna Duranso.  Chet and Rosemarie were married on April 18, 1959; she survives him. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Chet retired from Mistequay Group in 1999.  He was a member of V.F.W. and the American Legion, Chet enjoyed feeding the birds, hunting, fishing and his favorite sports were football and baseball.

Surviving besides his wife Rosemarie are 3 children; Daniel Duranso of Redford MI, Christine (Tim) Piwowarski of Burt MI, Monica Duranso of Mio MI; 4 grandchildren, Scott, Lisa, Arikka, and Adam; brothers and sisters Karen (Gary) Sobek, Renie Jurik, Roxanne Flores, Dort (Steve) Bator, Roberta (Scott) Smith, Jennie (Steve) Moon, and many nieces and nephews.

Chet's son Eric Duranso unexpectedly joined his father in heaven on the same day Chet passed.

Chet was preceded in death by 1 sister Delores Braman, 2 brothers Everett Duranso and Russell Duranso.

Chet's family will receive visitors on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street.  Private family services will follow on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers those planning and expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, St. Joseph Indian School or the NRA.
