Lillian B. Bickel

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully and went home to be with her Lord Sunday, October 23, 2022, at her home; age 100 years. Lillian List was born on October 14, 1922 in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Emil and Caroline (Hubinger) List. She was married to Waldemar Bickel on October 1, 1949. He predeceased her on July 9, 2000. Lillian was employed by Frankenmuth Bank, Immanuel Lutheran Church and Universal Engineering. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since her marriage and a previous member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Lillian enjoyed playing cards in 2 women's card clubs, quilting, being a seamstress and was a member of LWML. She was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Tigers. She loved reading and watching the tv series Survivor.

Surviving are three daughters and one son Eunice (John) Bickel-Smith of Northville, MI., Carleen Kaul of Frankenmuth, Janine (Charles) Lewis of Overland Park, KS., James (Shelly) Bickel of Frankenmuth; grandchildren Kyle Kaul, Katrina Kaul, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Hines, Dr. Jacob (Hillary) Lewis, Christina (Griffin) Gatewood, Adrianna (Austin) Swailes, Travis (Katie) Bickel, Alyssa (Justin) Lipsky, Mark Smith, Matthew (Sarah) Smith; 17 great grandchildren, one sister Marie List and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by one son-in-law Tim Kaul and two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Frankentrost, MI. Rev. Mark Loest will officiate with burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Lillian's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
