Lil was famous far and wide for her many tasty bar recipes. She enjoyed travel, including many cruises as well as trips to Norway, China, and Germany. She and Wil had a cottage which they built themselves in Au Gres where they enjoyed fishing for perch on Lake Huron. For more than 30 years, they wintered in the Pheonix area. She walked the Mackinac Bridge each Labor Day for many years, continuing to walk well into her 80s. She was a long-time member of St. Lorenz Church.

Surviving are two sons: James (Barbara) Keinath of Longville, MN and Charles (Julia) Keinath of Kingston, MI and grandson Brandon (Molly) Keinath and great grandson Owen of Duluth, MN.
