Linda Sahr
Vassar, MI
Sahr, Linda 78 our strong-willed, humorous, devoted, and loving mother, aunt, and friend of Vassar, MI passed on Monday April 18, 2022, in the family farmhouse. Linda was born to Hilton and Thelma (Servis) Kriseler on September 5, 1943, in the family farmhouse. Linda graduated from Vassar High School in 1961. Linda married Gerald (Jerry) Sahr on October 26, 1968. They had 49 years of marriage until his passing in 2017. Linda worked for Flint Box Makers and was Vice President of the union. Linda retired in June 1976 when their daughter Rhonda was born.
Surviving Linda is her loving daughter Rhonda and son-in-law Shannon Williams; sister-in-law Earline Kriseler of Aynor, S.C., and beloved nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry; sister Bonnie and brother-in-law Edward Reinert, and brother Gayle Kriseler.
Linda enjoyed playing softball, bowling, playing cards, and was a card shark in Euchre. She was an animal lover and cared deeply for her cats and watching "her" deer and all the fur critters in the fields on the family farm. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and mother. She enjoyed taking care of people especially her family or those in need around her. She was the neighborhood watch, and she appreciated the neighbors looking out for her. Linda loved socializing with friends and family on her daily trips to the stores around Vassar, Frankenmuth, Millington, and Birch Run. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for friends and family.
It will always feel too short lived and there will never be enough hugs or good times, but she lived her life on her terms and undoubtedly packed more laughter and love into a short time. We were blessed with a lot to remember and smile about. Special appreciation to Linda's niece Jill Reinert and nephew Kirk Reinert for the countless card games and for spending quality time with her over the years. The family is grateful to the team of Compassus (Cassie, Tisha, Stacy, and Kristen) for their compassionate care for Linda.
A private family service will take place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Tuscola County Animal Shelter of Caro, MI
