Lloyd C. Hecht

Frankentrost, MI

Went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at his home; age 86 years. Lloyd was born on December 13, 1937 in Saginaw, MI to the late Clarence and Florence (Mayer) Hecht. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Frankentrost. Lloyd married Marilyn (Laux) Hecht on December 2, 1961. He was in the Army Reserves and served six months of active duty. He was active in church as Elder, Trustee, Finance. He was a member of the Richville and Frankenmuth Conservation Clubs and enjoyed bowling, card playing, and most of all – traveling the world to Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Alaska, Germany, and many other trips. They wintered in Florida for many years. In the summer and fall his heart was in farming with his son and grandson.

He leaves behind his wife Marilyn and his four children: Lynn (Bryan) Hecht, Timothy (Gloria) Hecht, Brian Hecht, and Bonnie (Mack) Gray; seven grandchildren: Kyle (Karina) Hecht, Troy (Ivy) Hecht, Kelly (Nathan) Rupp, Amy (Josh) Miller, Jeremy Hecht, Holly Gray and Sarah Gray; four great-grandchildren: Haley Rupp, Felix Hecht, Henley and Troy Jr. (TJ) Hecht. He also leaves behind a brother, Reinhold (Alma) Hecht, a sister, Marion (Edwin) Ehrlinger, sisters-in-law Kathy (John) Wilson and Loretta Laux, and a brother-in-law Michael (Connie) Laux.

Lloyd was preceded in death by grandchild Allison Gray, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Eileen and Milton Rodammer, and brother-in-law Louis Laux.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Frankentrost, MI.  Rev. Mark Loest and Rev. Dan Wojtowicz will officiate. Burial to follow in St. Lorenz Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.  Lloyd's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church and School.
