Lon A. Miller

Bridgeport, MI

Passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at his home; age 74 years. Lon was born on October 10, 1948 in Saginaw, MI to the late Benjamin and Arlene (St. Charles) Miller. Lon was married to Christine Kietzman on September 21, 1974; she predeceased him on November 19, 2013. Lon honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he received 2 Purple Hearts a Bronze Star, an Army Air Medal of Combat Assault, and a Combat Infantry Badge. He retired from GM Malleable Iron after 33 years. Lon loved being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are one daughter and three sons Amy Miller of Reno, NV, Lon II (Tosha) Miller of Frankenmuth, MI, Michael (Michelle) Miller of Birch Run, MI, Jason (Sarah) Miller of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren Chace, Christian, Lucas, Kaden, Grayson, and Lincoln; brothers Mike (Jackie) Miller of Saginaw, MI, Don (Lorraine) Miller of Saginaw, MI; sister-in-law Cathy Miller.

Besides his wife Christine, Lon was preceded in death by two brothers Ben Miller and Ron Miller.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Rev. Doug McIntyre will officiate. Lon's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
