Lyle L. Conzelmann

Reese, MI

Went home with his Lord on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Covenant Medical Center, after a brief illness; age 87 years. Lyle was born on September 12, 1937, in Saginaw, MI to the late Helmuth and Alice (List) Conzelmann. He was married to Shirley Schluckebier; she predeceased him on August 18, 1992. Lyle worked for the city of Frankenmuth for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth. Lyle was a member of the Frankenmuth Conservation Club serving on the Board of Directors for many years, he was also a member of the Richville Conservation Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters and one son, Karen Conzelmann of Reese, MI, Mary Ann (Jeff) McChesney of Clio, MI, and Michael (Lisa) Conzelmann of Lapeer, MI; four grandchildren Ryan (Becky) McChesney, Sean McChesney, Tyler (Taylor) Conzelmann, and Hunter (Nick) Clinton; three great grandchildren Grace and Emma McChesney, and Ryleigh Clinton and brother Tom (Judy) Conzelmann.

Besides his wife Shirley, Lyle was predeceased by one brother David Conzelmann.

Funeral service will take place Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1200 E. Genesee, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Patrick Ernst will officiate with burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Lyle's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
