Marcella E. Weber

Marcella E. Weber, age 98 of Frankenmuth, MI., passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023 at Covenant Glen surrounded by family.  Marcella was born on August 9, 1925 in Tuscola County, to the late Martin and Martha (Hecht) Schiefer.  She married Harold Weber on April 20, 1951 and raised three children.

Marcella was a life-long member of St. Lorenz Church. She belonged to LWML and participated in the Treble choir.  She was employed at Universal Engineering, Michigan Bell and Fischer Hotel.  She belonged to many card and social clubs including the Lottanois Club, a ladies and a couples club. She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, taking many photos, gardening, and her flowers. One of her favorite hobbies was talking on the phone.

Marcella is survived by children Tom (Vickey) Weber, Susan (Tim) Weiss and Connie (Dr. Steve) Bierlein; grandchildren Lance (Maggie) Weber, Lindsey (Mike) Monroe, Melissa (Kyle) Millerd, Tiffany (Cornelius) Quek, Zach (Allyson) Bierlein and Josh Bierlein; step grandchildren Sandi (Terry) Williamson, Jacqui (Ben) Clark, Angi Weiss; great grandchildren James, Hannah, Brady, Olivia, Tyler, Dionte, Eric, Aiden, Ethan; and sister Irene (Ralph) Haubenstricker and many nieces and nephews.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold Weber, brothers Harry Schiefer and Eddie Schiefer, sisters in law and brothers in law Joyce Schiefer; Beulah Schiefer; Edna and Lester Schiefer; Ruth Weber; Millie and Edmar Bender; Carl and Irma Weber.

The family would like to thank Covenant Glen, Wellspring Hospice, Residential Hospice and the St. Lorenz pastors for their loving care.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Marcella's service will be livestreamed at https://www.stlorenz.org/stream/. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate with burial to follow in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Marcella's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Media Ministry or Alzheimer's Association.
