Marcelline "Marcie" Delphine Bender Klammer Weiss

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, slipped peacefully away to her heavenly home on September 2, 2024. She was born March 15, 1933, in Blumfield Township, Saginaw County, to Gustave and Matilda (Lutz) Bender. She was baptized on April 2, 1933 and confirmed March 30, 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Frankentrost. Marcie married George Klammer on November 20, 1954; he predeceased her on August 22, 1982. She later married Robert Weiss on February 26, 1994; he predeceased her on February 7, 2017.

Marcie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she served on several committees. Later she rejoined Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being involved with Merry Wives and HUGS groups.

In addition to taking care of her home and family, Marcie worked as a bookkeeper at Stanton Seed and a salesperson at the Frankenmuth Mill. She loved to garden and her flowers were always beautiful. Marcie also traveled to many places in the United States and around the world. She was an avid fan of football and the Detroit Tigers.

Marcie had a great love of life, adored her family, and always had a smile for everyone.

Marcie is survived by her sons, Joel (Jane) Klammer of Orange, California, and Jon (Lisa) Klammer of Fenton, Michigan; grandchildren Catherine, Aaron, and Joshua Klammer; sisters Roseanne (Howard) Bernreuter, Anne Schultz, and Jerilynn (Jim) Daenzer; sisters-in-law Colleen Bender, Vicki Bender, Eunice Weiss and Lois Braun; brother-in-law Kenneth (Helen) Klammer; 5 nieces and 14 nephews; and many, many dear friends. Besides her parents, and spouses, she was predeceased by firstborn son Rodney, brothers Vern and Mel Bender, sister-in-law Lorine Frahm, and brothers-in-law Bill Schultz, Gerald Braun, Don Klammer, Stuart Frahm, and Ralph Weiss.

Marcie's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Courtyard Manor of Fenton and Swan Hospice for their loving care.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Frankentrost, MI. Rev. Loest will officiate. Marcie's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Frankenmuth, on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church Frankentrost or Valley Lutheran High School.
