Marcus A. Demsich

Passed away peacefully Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper; age 98 years. Marcus was born on May 22, 1926 in Detroit, MI to the late Steven and Kate Demsich. He was married to Eleanor Kurlinski on May 13, 1950; she predeceased him on July 23, 2019. Marcus honorably and bravely served in WWII in the U.S. Army serving in Germany and France. He worked as an Operating Supervisor for Detroit Edison until his retirement in 1986. He belonged to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and member of the Men's Club. Marcus was a member of the American Legion and the VFW; he volunteered at numerous festivals in Frankenmuth and at List Elementary helping the children with various crafts.

Surviving are: 3 children Norman (Angela) Demsich of Frankenmuth, MI, Susan (Gary) Hiltz of Imlay City, MI, Laura Senkowski of Houghton Lake, MI; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, Marcus was preceded in death by a daughter Diana Dittman, 1 sister and 2 brothers.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate. Burial to take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Marcus' family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
