Margaret Ann Jorgensen

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by her side Monday, October 25, 2021 at her home; after a lengthy illness, age 87 years. Margaret was born on November 14, 1933 in Saginaw, MI to the late Harry and Eunice Mathews. She was married to James L. Jorgensen on July 3, 1953 in Biloxi, Mississippi, he survives her.

Margaret worked as a legal assistant at the Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner Law Firm, she also worked at the Saginaw County Court House for many years and served as the Frankenmuth Township Treasurer. Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church in Saginaw.

Surviving besides her husband James are: 3 children Kathryn M. Block and husband Jack Shelbrock of Frankenmuth, MI, James M. (JoAnn) Jorgensen of Breckenridge, MI, and Sandra (Mark) Vito of Buffalo, MN; grandchildren Matthew (Amber) Block, Andrea (Bryan) Tasior, Eric J. Jorgensen, Marcus S. (Jennifer) Jorgensen, Brian G. (Elsa) Jorgensen, and Anthony Vito; many great grandchildren; and one sister Nancy Schoenow.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Eunice Mathews.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street.  Rev. Joey Henry will officiate. Burial will take place at Custer Cemetery on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Margaret's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
