Margaret Eleanor Meyer completed her final genealogical research on Monday, February 24, 2025, and has gone to meet her Savior and Creator, along with all the Saints of Heaven. Finally, she can trace her relatives all the way back to Adam and Eve.

Margaret was born in Caro to the late James Elmer Haney Jr. and Ann Marie (Smith) on March 4, 1937. After graduation from Caro High School, Margaret moved to Bay City to attend vocational training, and from there she moved to Saginaw, where she met Richard Henry Meyer on a blind date. Margaret and Rich married on April 28, 1962, at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw.

Together, Margaret and Rich were parents to Timothy (Ann) Meyer, Mary (Dennis) Atkinson, Thomas (Rhonda) Meyer and James (Mercia) Meyer. They were blessed with grandchildren Erica (Joshua) Schreiner, Krista (Lucas) Ritter, Sean Atkinson, Gregory Meyer, Emma (Nathaniel) Bruce, Katie (Mack) DuRussel and Alexander Meyer. Great grandparents to Madelyn and Isabelle Schreiner, Maeson, Myles and Marlo Ritter, Oakley and Owen Bruce.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Rich after fifty-one years of marriage. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph "Eddie" Heacock, Arlene Holsinger and Marian Blackmore. She is survived by her sisters Aletha Shirey, Doris Gross and Ruth Fell, her brother Lloyd Haney, and brother-in-law Michael J. (Betsy) Meyer.

Margaret was employed by Zehnder's of Frankenmuth for 37 years. She graduated from Delta College with an associate's degree in her fifties.

Margaret was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth's Women's Club, St. Lorenz Widows Group and OWLS (Older Wiser Lutherans). Margaret also enjoyed attending "Silver Sneakers" at the gym on a daily basis.

Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Margaret's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Lorenz Vicar Fund.
