Margaret Strobel

Loving sister, aunt and dear friend passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at her home.

Margaret C (Frank) Strobel was born on December 18, 1935, in Frankenmuth, MI, to the late Carl and Flora Frank.  She was brought into the kingdom of God through her baptism on December 29, 1935. She was married to the late Fred Strobel on August 5, 1967 in Frankenmuth.

Margaret (Maggie) is survived by Brother George Frank, sister-in-law Kathy Frank, and many other loving extended family and friends.

Her parents Carl and Flora Frank, husband Fred Strobel, brother John Frank, sister-in-law Judy Frank, sister-in-law Leanne Frank, and brother Reinhold Frank

Prior to her retirement, Margaret worked at Rau Brothers and then the IGA in Frankenmuth for many years.

Maggie was a lifelong member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, and a charter member of their mixed choir.  She sang with Marv Herzog and the Lamplighters, and was an avid bowler.  She was also a devout Detroit Tigers fan, and prayed for them nightly, even in the off-season.

Maggie had a penchant for cutting to the chase, and not mincing words, and we were all thankful for the gruff yet steadfast love she showed all of us.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Maggie's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the prayer service. Those wishing to express their sympathies are asked to consider memorial contributions to the St. Lorenz Student Aid Fund or Valley Lutheran High School, in loving memory of Maggie.
