Margaret E. Weiss
Frankenmuth, MI
Margaret Elizabeth Weiss died in the Lord at the home of her daughter, Ruth, in Pilot Knob, Missouri on December 28, 2021 at the age of 96. Margaret was born in Frankentrost on April 7, 1925, to Herbert and Helen (Trinklein) Knoll. She was married to Wilbur Weiss on August 19, 1945 at Immanuel Lutheran, Frankentrost. Wilbur predeceased her on July 8, 2007. Margaret was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran; she sang in the choir. She worked hard all her life, working with Wilbur on the farm, and cleaning houses. When they retired and moved to Frankenmuth, they joined St. John's Lutheran Church. She continued to serve there making banners and singing in the choir. She made quilts by hand, and each child and grandchild received at least one of these.
Survivors include son Robert (Muriel) Weiss and daughter Ruth (Ron) Simmons, son-in-law Jim Vance, a sister, Dorothy Bertram, sisters-in-law, Hildegard Huber, Ellen Bender, Lorraine Weiss, Betty Weiss and Marion Weiss, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by daughters Carol and Karen, and sister Lillian Beyersdorf, sisters- and brothers-in-law, Gerald Beyersdorf, Lee Bertram, Selma and Herb Hecht, Marie and Reinhold Block, Art and Lorraine Weiss, Norman and Edna Weiss, Andrew Weiss, Marvin Weiss, Norman Huber, Henry Bender, Victor Weiss and Marian and Arno Keinath.
Margaret loved and lived her confirmation verse, John 3:16, and could still recite it aloud and loud. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
