Marian Ann Mossner

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Hoyt Nursing Home; age 85 years. Marian Laux was born on June 3, 1937, in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Clarence and Florence (Enser) Laux. She was married to Carl R. Mossner on August 31, 1957 at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church; he predeceased her on April 20, 2014.

Marian graduated high school when she was fifty and worked as a teller at Chase Bank and Consumers Choice Credit Union. She loved playing cards, baking, polka music, scrapbooking, and talking on the phone with family and friends. Marian was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Frankentrost and their adult choir and Ladies Aid.

Surviving are: three children Ken (Linda) Mossner of Birch Run, Jim (Janice) Mossner of Frankenmuth, and Wendy (Brian) Davis of Swartz Creek; eight grandchildren Kurtis (Kaitlin) Mossner, Kaleb Mossner, Dr. James Mossner, Jessica Mossner, Jenna (Matt) Coulter, Joseph Mossner, Jonathan Davis, and Amanda Davis; one great-granddaughter Arlie Lynn Mossner; two brothers Eugene (Joan) Laux and Wallace (Judy) Laux; three sisters-in-law Alice (Dave) Wigley, Frances Emling, and Barbara Mossner; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Carl; sister-in-law Martha Laux; four brothers-in-law Ruben (Dorothy) Mossner, Roy Mossner, Glenn (Marlene) Mossner, and Dr. Fred Emling.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Saginaw, MI.  Rev. Mark Loest will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Garden. Marian's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
