Marie Atkins

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family; age 81 years.  Marie Weber was born on May 4, 1937 in Richville, MI. Marie was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and also volunteered for many years in the church office, at the St. Lorenz school office and Bethesda Thrift Store.  She enjoyed reading, her flowers and playing cards and Dominoes, but the one thing she loved more than anything was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: 4 children, Carson D. Atkins, David F. Atkins (Theresa), Diane Ford all from Vassar, MI, and Mark A. Atkins of Warrensburg, MO; seven grandchildren, Jessica M. Steele, Jacob O. Ford, Hunter B.  Atkins, Taylor R. Monzalvo (Alan) and Chase C. Atkins; two step grandchildren, Jason Aldrich (Stephanie), and Jill Dark (Dan); one great granddaughter, Isabella Grace Ford; five step great grandchildren, Bristol Aldrich, Abbrie Aldrich,  Nick Dark, Gabrielle Dark and Emily Dark, one brother Donald E. Weber, one sister Shirley A. Weber, one brother-in-law Jack Weiblen, and several nieces and nephews.

Marie was predeceased by her parents; Elmer and Agnes Weber, a brother Eugene M. Weber, a sister Ruth Weiblen, a sister-in-law Shirley A. Weber, a niece and a great nephews.

Memorial Service will take place on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan.  Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate.  Marie's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran School.
