Marie A. Pendleton

Marie A. Pendleton went to heaven to be with our Lord and Savior, and husband Fred, on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at her home; age 85 years. Marie Affendikis was born on October 4, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Madeline and George Affendikis. She was married to Fred A. Pendleton for 56 years, who predeceased her on March 7,2010. Marie attended Cass Tech High School and Wayne State University. Marie and her husband founded and ran the F.A. Pendleton Company for over 50 years. She was very involved in Bridgeport Community Church for 62 years and highly active in her community which included starting the local READ program, serving on the Wickson Library Board, Frankenmuth City Beautification Committee and the Frankenmuth Women's Club. She was also an avid golfer, reader, loved to travel, and was a big University of Michigan fan. Marie loved life, her family and her Lord.

Surviving Marie are her children Kevin Pendleton and Sherry Gillett of Harbor Springs, MI, David and Lori Pendleton of Frankenmuth, MI, Sandy and Steve Cilek of Rockford, MI, Kraig and Sara Pendleton of Frankenmuth, MI; daughter-in-law Jenny Pendleton of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren Adam and Amy Pendleton, Emily Pendleton and Mike Damron, Shanna and Joe Jacobs, Nicole and Todd Yerion, John and Hayley Pendleton, Zachary Pendleton, Charlie Cilek, Sophia Cilek, Paul Cilek, Joshua Pendleton, Luke Pendleton, Caleb Pendleton and Talitha Pendleton; great grandchildren Landon, Mia and Eli Jacobs, Zoe Yerion and Madeline Damron; sister Irene DeLuca and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Fred, Marie was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Memorial services will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. OUTSIDE at St. Lorenz Churchgrove Park, 294 Churchgrove Rd. with Rev. Ron Sinclair officiating. Burial to take place at 9:30 a.m. in Frankenmuth Township Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Marie's family will receive visitors OUTSIDE at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at Churchgrove Park from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
