Marilyn L. Holmes- Ivey

East Tawas, MI formerly of Frankenmuth

Went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on Monday, January 20, 2025 at My Michigan Medical, Tawas; age 86 years. Marilyn McPherson was born on March 12, 1938 in Wheeler, MI to the late Roy and Grace McPherson. She married Cyril Holmes, he predeceased her on February 7, 1999. Marilyn later married Gerald "Wayne" Ivey he predeceased her on October 4, 2020. Marilyn worked at Satow Drugs for many years, she was known as "Mamma Satows". She was a founding member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, several euchre clubs, enjoying socializing with family and friends.

Surviving are her children Cris (Eunice) Holmes of AZ, Ken (Lynn) Holmes of Kalamazoo, MI, Mike (Barb) Holmes of Lansing, MI, Cindy (Dave) Reif of IL, Judy (Steve Frank) Holden of FL; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, stepchildren, step grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husbands Cyril and Wayne, brothers Claire and Lyle Sr., and sisters Violet, Lillian and Flora.

Funeral mass will take place on Friday, January, 24 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate. Burial to take place in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Breckenridge, MI. Marilyn's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Frankenmuth, on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Compassus Hospice or Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Frankenmuth.
