Marion went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Brian's House in Essexville after a brief illness; age 96 years. Marion Knoll was born on December 16, 1926 in Bridgeport Township, MI to the late Edwin and Lydia (Keinath) Knoll. Marion was confirmed at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church on April 6, 1941; her confirmation verse was Acts 4:12. She was married to Andrew Weiss on June 12, 1949; he predeceased her on September 14, 2010.
Marion was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Frankentrost. She was employed at S&E Machine during World War II. Marion farmed her entire life and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, gardening, baking, and sewing.
Surviving are: three sons, Ronald (Ruth) Weiss and David (Bonnie) Weiss both of Saginaw, and Gary (Janice) Weiss of Vassar; eight grandchildren, Jamie Weiss, Ryan (Ana) Weiss, Elizabeth (Kevin) Hecht, Amy (Erich) Reinbold, Jamie (Jolene) DuBay, Holly (Tim) Schienke, Heather (Adam) Gay, and Michael (Ashley) Weiss; twelve great grandchildren; one brother-in-law Floyd Marsh; three sisters-in-law, Hildegard Huber, Lorraine Weiss, and Betty Weiss.
Besides her husband Andrew, Marion was preceded in death by her sisters Vera Pashby and Edna Marsh; brothers-and-sisters-in-law Reinhold (Marie) Block, Arno (Marian) Keinath, Arthur (Loraine) Weiss, Herbert (Selma) Hecht, Norman (Edna) Weiss, Wilbur (Margaret) Weiss, Henry (Ellen) Bender, Victor Weiss, Marvin Weiss, Don Pashby, and Norman Huber.
Funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Frankentrost, MI. Rev. Dan Wojtowicz will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Marion's family will receive visitors on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Brian's House in Essexville.
