Finished her time on earth and took Jesus's hand to her eternal home on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Wellspring Lutheran Home; age 81 years. Marlene was born on August 5, 1937 in Frankenmuth, MI. She graduated from Arthur Hill in 1955. She was married to Glenn Mossner on August 15, 1959 at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church; he survives her. After high school Marlene worked at Universal Engineering for several years and then stayed home to raise her family on the farm. She was a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church Richville and its Mary Martha Guild. Marlene volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Store, funeral luncheons and the Reese beautification committee. She enjoyed baking, (especially butterhorns, springerle and pretzels) gardening, her flowers, her birds and golfing. Marlene also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida at the Holiday Travel Park for many years. She was a faithful Detroit Tiger fan.
Surviving besides her husband Glenn of 59 years are: 3 children; John (Connie) Mossner Frankenmuth MI., Sue (Marc) Rogner-Watkins Frankenmuth MI., Anna (Kirk) Meyer Pittsford NY., grandchildren; Kendra Mossner, grandmas special boy Jacob Mossner, Kevin (Kristen) Rogner, Eric Rogner, Jonah, Jack and Waylan Meyer; a great-grandson Camden Rogner, brother; Jerold Schreiner, brother and sisters-in-law; Roy (Barbara) Mossner, Frances Emling, Alice (Dave) Wigley, Marian Mossner and Dorothy Mossner.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S. Van Buren Road, Richville, Michigan. Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Marlene's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Michaels Lutheran Church or a charity of donor's choice.
