Mary Lou Brown passed away peacefully at home in Sandwich Massachusetts on March 27 th , 2019. She was born in Flint, Michigan on November 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Dear. After graduating from St. Michaels High School, she attended Michigan State University.
Mary Lou married Robert Brown on October 15, 1960. Mary Lou worked for Merrill Lynch early in her career. She later worked as an administrative assistant to the Principal at Luke M. Powers Catholic High School in Flint, Michigan.
Mary Lou had been living on Cape Cod for the past five years after the passing of her husband Robert in October of 2013. Prior to that she and Robert lived in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Robert and Mary Lou were parishioners of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Mary Lou enjoyed gardening, quilting, card games and golf. Most of all Mary Lou loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Robert Joseph Brown, son Scott Gerald Brown and brothers Robert Dear, Joseph Dear and Scott Dear. Surviving are 3 children Kevin Michael Brown (Deborah) of Flushing, Paul Donald Brown of Frankenmuth, Kelly Marie Kozub (Robert) of Sandwich, MA, eight grandchildren Rebecca Kathleen Brown, Joshua Robert Brown, Jacob Adam Brown, Morgan Mackenzie Brown, Logan Michael Brown, Tyler Paul Brown, Claire Mary Kozub, Benjamin Robert Kozub and one great grandchild Amirra CeAnn Younes.
The family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday, April 11 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola. A brief showing will take place prior to the service at the church from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. There will be a luncheon following services. Those planning on an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
