Mary M. Laarz

Frankenmuth, MI formerly of Clare, MI

Passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Great Lakes Rehab Center; age 100 years.  Mary Bittle was born on February 27, 1922 in Pontiac, MI to the late Fred W. and Violet E. (Guernsey) Bittle. Mary was employed by General Motors for 23 years as a payroll clerk. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church where she served as a Stephen Minister. She also worked at the Bavarian Inn gift shop and loved baking, reading, and knitting items to donate and to give to the underprivileged. In her younger married years, she was an avid square dancer.

Surviving are: nieces Erika (Gene) Reick and Ellen Anderson; nephew William Laarz and family; close life-long friends Tim (Ronda) Zeleznik and family, John (Jennifer) Zeleznik, John and Pat Musselwhite my angels on earth; good friend Julie Roedel; and many other neighbors and friends.

According to Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran School Tuition Fund.
