Matthew D. Beyerlein

Frankentrost, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by his side Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the University of Michigan Hospital after a battle with complications from COVID-19; age 37 years. Matthew was born on March 31, ­­­1984 in Saginaw, MI to Cynthia and the late David Beyerlein. Matthew was employed by the Three Rivers Corporation as an estimator for 14 years. He was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, and an avid U of M fan. Matthew loved cooking on his black stone and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving besides his significant other Ashley Bauer are: his daughter Elizabeth Bauer of Frankentrost, MI; mother Cynthia Beyerlein of Frankenmuth, MI; sister Rachel (David) Brandt of Reese, MI; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father David Beyerlein and grandparents Fredrick (Margaret) Beyerlein and William (Erna) Wirth.

Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 26, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. The service will be livestreamed at stlorenz.org/stream . Rev. Mark Brandt will officiate with burial to follow in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Matthew's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Matthew Beyerlein Memorial Fund C/O Cynthia Beyerlein.
