Melvin A. Keinath "Mel"

Frankenmuth, MI

Melvin A. Keinath age 67 entered the glory of everlasting life on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Melvin was born the third son of Martin and Viola (Rodammer) Keinath February 22, 1953. He was baptized, confirmed and remained a lifelong member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church Frankenmuth, Michigan.

Upon graduation from Frankenmuth High School he was employed by Holzhei Farms and enjoyed operating large farm equipment. Then he began his own business as a livestock dealer as well as a milk hauler for Eugene Gibbs Trucking. He expanded his business into bailing hay and straw, distributing his inventory to horse farms in the Carolinas, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio and road work for the State of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Norbert.

He is survived by his brother Rev Edgar (Janeen) Keinath of Seymour, Indiana; nephews, nieces, and other family Joel (Sara) Keinath, Noah, Madelynn of Sellersburg, IN; Rev Daniel (Lynette) Keinath, Megan, Amy, David, Anna of Billings, Montana; Michael (Jenna) Keinath, Ezra of Westfield IN; Rev Joshua (Amber) Keinath, Josiah and Elijah of Dennison, Iowa; Rachel (Lucas) Bedroske of Shawano, Wisconsin and Erin (Kevin) Mc Cabe, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Arrangements entrusted to Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth. Private family services will take place. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make memorial contributions are encouraged to donate to the counseling ministry Mel supported at CrossLife Ministries of Ambassadors of Reconciliation of Seymour, Indiana. Memorials will be received at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth.
