Obituary

Michael Edward Ignash

Burton, MI

Formerly of Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 22, 2022 at his home; age 35 years.  Michael was born on March 13, 1987 in Saginaw, MI to Barbara Fischer and Gerald Ignash, they survive him.

Michael was one of a kind. He was the jack of all trades and the master of them too. He could build you a house, fix your car, catch your dinner, and cook it for you. He has worked in every area of the construction industry; he was a heavy machine operator and worked on the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Michael was always the hardest worker in the room but never wanted to be anywhere but on a fishing boat. His favorite place in the world was up north, hunting with his papa. He played every sport and could skate circles around everyone. He had a love for racing his cars.  He felt every lyric of every country song in his soul. He hated technology (unless it would help him catch a fish) and preferred his trucks old and rusty. He proudly served in the U.S National Guard. Michael had a huge smile and a helping hand for everyone he met. He loved life and was such a joy to be with. He will be greatly missed. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his parents Barb and Gerry are: siblings, Margaret (Eric) Patterson of Grand Blanc, Brady Ignash of Frankenmuth, Hanna Ignash of Davison, Matthew Weaver of Chesapeake, VA, step-father, William Leiteritz, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved nephews.  Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Frances Fischer and Ervin Ignash and Margaret Carpenter.

A private family service will take place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Michael Ignash Memorial Fund C/O Margaret Patterson.

Arrangements entrusted to Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth.  Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.cederbergfh.com .
