Michael Zwerk

Passed away with family by his side Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio; age 75 years.  Mike was born on July 29, 1943 in Saginaw, MI to the late Arnold and Geraldine Zwerk. He was married to Maureen on May 20, 2005; she survives him. Mike was previously married to Judith Nagy and was previously married to Joan Pasch; she predeceased him. Mike honorably served in the Army Reserves. He owned and operated Zwerk and Sons Farms until his recent retirement. Mike was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville, MI. He was on the Tuscola County Road Commission, a former chairman of Michigan Bean Commission, and former President of American Dry Bean Board.

Surviving besides his wife Maureen are: his children; Susan (Jason) Vinkemulder of Spring Lake, MI, Marty (Ann) Zwerk of Vassar, MI, Andrew (Heidi) Zwerk of Frankenmuth, MI, and Eric (Katie) Zwerk of Woodstock, GA: grandchildren; Kate and Jake Vinkemulder, Haley, Landon (Claire), Macy, and Lainey Zwerk, Gwen and Eli Zwerk, Carter, Declan, and Taygan Zwerk: 2 brothers and 1 sister; Larry (Linda) Zwerk of Vassar, MI, Nancy (Jerry) Schluckbier of Reese, MI, and Mark (Val) Zwerk of Frankenmuth, MI: and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S. Van Buren Road, Richville, Michigan.  Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.  Mike's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Cleveland Clinic Center for Spiritual Care (memo- Family Liaison).
